The New Ark of the New Covenant
It is a tradition in the church that Mary not only was perpetually a virgin, but also that she and Joseph never consummated their relationship. The image of this woman giving birth to a sun could just be the church giving birth to Christians,. It also is seen as Mary giving birth to our Lord in Savior Jesus. So the ark then blends into being a woman.
