The Importance of Symbols

With symbols, you nest a bunch of different concepts inside that symbol. Sometimes we just communicate ideas to each other that don't mean anything. The full meaning of the symbol doesn't have to be on the symbol. With letters, you can contain a lot of concepts. So you can simplify a mantra or a saying to something that is not literally saying what you know it's supposed to be saying.
