The early death of Docker was reported years ago and it didn't really happen. It's the same old problem we find ourselves talking about a lot, how do you monetize an open source project? This story as Graham said has played out so many times in the last few years nobody seems to be learning from it. I've seen some people saying this is only 2% of their users and it was just them just doing a bit of tidying up but it seems like an awfully big stink to have kicked up over 2%.
