The Importance of Platform Engineering
It's easy to harken back to the olden days of IT departments, especially in large corporations. The platform can become bureaucratic, limiting developers' ability to introduce new different technologies that are out there but not yet within company purview. You also have the issue of it. I don't think that either regulatory restrictions or just like compliance restrictions are really much of a barrier to platform engineering. At least not if the company takes a healthy approach to buy the one on those.
