Neurodiversity
Australian sociologist Judy Singer came up with the term neurodiversity in her thesis published in 1998. She has clarified what she meant versus what has come to mean colloquially. Neurodiversity is not supposed to be a diagnosis, but an analysis of inequality and abuse. It can be used for exclusion, even though that's not at all what it's intended to be used for.
