The Properties of Gravity
In Einstein's general theory of relativity, there is no such thing as infinitely stable that every orbit will decay over time. So we have violent relaxation that kicks out the tiny masses coupled with mass segregation, which pushes the larger masses towards the center. And a large school of thought, although I don't know that anyone has proven this, that this is where the more massive, supermassive black holes theorize to be found in globular clusters.
