The Dyadic Relationship Between Host and Guest

Hospitality as a radical paradigm shifting framework that can help us reconceptualize how we think of immigration. I talk about how in the United States, as a settler colonial nation, the first history of these dyadic relationships was poisoned. Every time you rupture the relationship of hospitality, there is extreme violence involved. Sometimes it's symbolic, sometimes it's very, it's very clearly material types of violence and genocide to enact abuses of hospitality.
