The title of this book refers to a possession of a titled profession, right? Concealator is a little bit of a stretch for that. The shadow of the torturer as a metaphor and as a moment within the book figures very prominently. So we're about ready to dive into the book, but there's one more thing that we got to talk about before we get there - the epigraph.
