The key is to pick something that you're genuinely interested in and then do something small to learn about it. When your kids get a little older, you might have a little more time. I am astonished at how much I am able to consume in terms of just knowledge about history from like 10 minutes of reading. Listening and getting some general ideas is better than nothing.
