I do worry that there's maybe a little too much kind of whistling past the graveyard of the debt ceiling fight this time. At what point does our national debt become a thing? It just feels as if we complain about it. There's no way to turn this ship around overnight. And if what we're seeing in the labor market is accurate in terms of what it suggests about productivity, that's I think a story that isn't sufficiently told.
