The Unevenness of the Economic Crisis
The economic unevenness of this crisis has shaped the politics around it. While service workers have lost their jobs, professionals who work from home have more money than ever. The initial federal response with stimulus checks and extended and expanded unemployment sent poverty rates down to record lows. So there's a sense that were in this world historic economic crisis, but it's been experienced on the ground in such complex and divided ways.
