How I Learned to Write for a Living
I would go back and read books by my favorite authors or articles. And when a passage really got me, I would reread over and over again to try to figure out what's going on. That's how I taught myself to write. He was motivated to become a writer because there was a huge recession in Colorado during the 1980s.
