Introduction
This episode contains distressing details and strong language, because history does sometimes. Two black and white pictures taken years apart, featuring the same child with a title that reads, before and after. In the first picture, the before, a young indigenous boy stands on a fur in what looks like traditional clothing. He wears moccasins and what appears to be leather pants with prominent diagonal stitching up the legs. And right below his collar lay eight strings of large, light coloured beads that loop from one shoulder to the other and continue down to his mid section.
