The History of Blood Pressure and Stroke
The history of thrombolysis and stroke is really fascinating. It dates back to the 1950s when angiography was first being done. And pretty early on, it was identified that blood pressure is probably a modifiable risk factor for hemorrhagic conversion after a steam extrusion. So essentially every major study has included some general blood pressure parameter which is either an exclusion criteria to receiving a therapy or is kind of amodifiable risk factor once they've actually received the therapy.
