Exploring Beauty and Food Scenes in Detroit

Lyndsay C. Green is the restaurant critic at the Detroit Free Press, and she is tasked with shining a light on one of America’s most vibrant and also misunderstood food cities. It’s quite the job, and Green, a native of New York City, has embraced the role to its fullest. In this episode, we talk about Detroit’s many diverse neighborhoods and how the city’s food scene was built by immigrants from Mexico, Greece, China, and the Middle East.
