I think the historical lesson for this is that capitalism has always had public and private moments. It's just that people need not confuse this with any form of socialism. I've often said that we need a story about neoliberalism after 2008 That's a bit about the death of the austeregium. There's a parallel now where if you convince yourself that neoliberalism is still the biggest danger Then you'll actually be allying yourself with a part of the capitalist class that is already bearing neoliberalism itself.
