Is the NHS in a Crisis?
i think pandemic has revealed all the strains that the n h s was under before, and in some ways, it has taken it to breaking point. Every winter we have the winter crisis. We have wards that are genuinely overflowing. People cannot get into beds. We now have five point eight million people on the nh s england waiting list alone,. That numberis going to go up. But internationally, waiting times, rationing, access to care have all been problematic for a long time. So we have to ask ourselves, if we really value universal access to health care, what needs a change of the nH s so it works better?
