Republicans' Debt Ceiling Negotiations
The GOP is holding the debt ceiling hostage unless Democrats agree to cut popular social safety net programs. The White House seems to reject this notion, but we'll see how it actually plays out. Republicans tend to avoid looking at any data that proves that most Americans who need to tap into these programs are in fact working and their employers don't pay them enough.
