The Dyson Sphera
Dyson sphere is a concept outlined in the 1960s by physicist Freeman Dyson. It imagined that an advanced civilization could eventually enclose its home star to capture as much solar energy as possible. If we convert all of the earth into a series of flat panels, it would take about 60,000 years to recoup the energy and investment.
