The Importance of Recognition in Art

I think sometimes people buy art to fill the gaps a bit, don't you? Absolutely. It's a call and response with your life. You will get different buyers based on what that work feels like for sure. I'm looking at a painting on the wall that isn't mine that is very calm, it is very quiet and I think I bought this at a time where life was a little bit manic. That was the painting that I wanted in my life. Feeling alive doesn't mean use cadmium red paint and be expressive. feeling alive comes from the differences.
