The Evolution of Language

The words we use the most in everyday speech tend to be short and easy to pronounce. But on the other hand there aren't really very many rules that govern sort of everyday discourse. There it's really more of a sort of libertarian or almost anarchic view. Almost whatever you can get away with in communication and I think most of it is subconscious.
