The Rainbow Bad Scheme
Michael J Fox grew up in the highlands of Scotland in the 80s and 90s. His grandparents were religious, one of his grandfathers was a member of something called the Free Church of Scotland which has very specific views about gay people in general. He didn't come out for a long time until he was in his mid 30s officially. The Rainbow Badge project itself is not entirely Michael's idea but it came out of a conversation between a group of friends in France.
