Are Genealogies a History of Christian Morality?
What we might think of as compassion or altruism has its roots in self pity, envy and a slave class trying to get one over on the masters. So is genealogy, sometimes social critique posing as history, or is nitu really doing something that we could call historical? I don't know whether either or both of you want to offer a view on that. There's a discussion on whether fictional genealogies have somenuse or not.
