Rust can run on Linux and on your Mac and on Windows, but it can also run in other places as well, including the browser. Have you done anything with running Rust via Wasm? I actually have a talk from, like, the New Zealand JavaScript conference, uh, year or two ago. Uh, so the WebAssembly provides a vehicle for non-JavaScript languages to run in the browser. It also provides a bunch of security guarantees, which I really like.
In this supper club episode of Syntax, Wes and Scott talk with Tim McNamara, author of Rust in Action about what Rust is, how to get started learning Rust, and ideas of good projects to begin learning Rust with.
