Is There a Barrier to Access for Jazz?

I was struck in one noticing how Arouj and Bulger Prince really opened a gateway for a lot of younger people to embrace the music. And then secondly, just like Vijay had done this 5, 10, 15 with us talking about the music that inspired him over the course of his life. I know for example Shizad has been influenced by you too in Tracy Chapman. And Arouj was playing covers of the white stripes in Oasis. There is something that feels, I think, high brow or cerebral around compositional music or jazz or contemporary classical that has become a barrier to access for music lovers even.
