The Evolution of the Tiber Valley
archaeology of early Rome has shown for us quite conclusively that this period marks the beginning of monumental constructions. So, someone like myself would say, we should expect that it's going to have implications for the river valley. I think it's fair to say that the amount of sedimentation that we can see in Rome's river valley starting in the 6th century must have had some cause by the human activity on the local and or regional landscape.
