The Disadvantages of Sharing a Health Crisis
I'd have to imagine there was an extra layer of difficulty sharing that message as somebody in the public eye. My mom's always been very similar in terms of her advice she's given me my whole life, basically to stay in my lane. And so when I made the announcement, I was kind of like, sturdying myself like this is where I get like some nasty messages from people and I was very surprised like no, everyone is very compassionate.
