How to Maintain an Open Source Project
A lot of open source projects just get created. Even if they become popular, they fall out from people lack of maintenance. To me, that's been one thing that saved a lot of projects or even helped convert them into commercialized opportunities is that they were well maintained. I think it's very important to identify signs of burning out early on. The earlier about it, the better.
