The Utopia of Women on the Streets
I don't think it's just working class voices that are difficult to access, I think it's people of the middle and upper classes as well. What you have to do is look against the grain of the source and look at the details that seem insignificant. Court cases are a problem because there are often cases of women bringing accusations of sexual harassment which makes it look as if women were always harassed when they were on the streets. So where do you find women's pleasure, women's excitement? You have to kind of look in other kinds of places and sort of on the margins of the text as well.What you're proposing to do here, Oscar, is something that's quite utopian really
