Are You a Black Abolitionist?
John Brown believed in violence as a tactic but it doesn't really work in this situation for one a number of black Americans in Harper's Ferry don't take up the arms that he frees and then as I said the insurrection is very quickly squashed. He had helped enslaved people reach freedom before in the past on his way to Harper's Ferry helped to free enslaved people and so you can understand like he's deeply rooted in this movement and believes that it can spark something much much bigger.
