Sex is a term that we use for the biological sex, like genitals, hormones, chromosomes. Sex is mostly binary, not entirely, but 98 99 % binary, male, female. And then gender is it termed that john mony invented. A sexologist who noticed that some people are born with one sex, but they don't feel like they belonged to that sex and have a different identity. He wanted to get around at he wanted to have a friendlier, more scientific label for them.

What is gender? How different are men and women? Are differences due to biological sex or to culture? How do they compare with what is known about our fellow primates? Do apes also culturally learn their sex roles or is “gender” uniquely human?
