The Benefits of Metacognitive Therapy

Metacognition is thinking about thinking, but tell me if that fits the definition or that. So when you have a trigger situation, it could be internal, like an emotion or it could be external trigger situation, you would have a thought. And so you have some beliefs about those thoughts handling. You either believe that you can leave the thought alone if you want to. You don't believe you can leave it with the thought alone. It's uncontrollable or you believe it's useful. That's what we work on in metacognitive.
