i've just finished a couple of years of cancer treatment, and i possibly foolishly started running the numbers. How can i justify that my life is worth that much when that money could have saved millions if it had been spent more wisely? We very rarely rationally allocate resources. Life doesn't exist for money. Money exists for life. Every human being that comes after you has also benefited from your treatment. You contributed to their understanding of cancer.
