The Importance of Consciousness

I think if there was a real God we wouldn't have to be debating over if he existed or not. So I haven't heard any really good arguments for any deity but I'm open to the idea of there being some kind of higher power that we could never comprehend. But when people try to speak for God or tell you what God wants or say that God chose me and you need to listen to what we say that's where I say alright, that's the line in the sand.
