There will be an estimated shortfall of 10 million health care workers worldwide by 2030, according to the World Health Organization. "We export more nurses than we train in our own countries," says Hikaru Matsumoto from Japan. The expectations of health care workers have changed dramatically since the pandemic, he adds.
