Thomas Payne: A Lifetime of Radicalism

Thomas Payne was an outright abolitionist, one of the most prominent from his time. He also believed that any sort of religious establishment had to be disconnected from the state for freedom of conscious to flourish. His ideas are so commonplace today that we don't even think about them.
