Birthday Parties and Covet Spread

In the wake of 9/11, many people celebrated their birthdays in person with friends and families. But epidemiologists were worried that a key driver of covet spread wasn't these huge gatherings, but small get togethers. In counties with low covet rates, there was no increased rate of infection in the weeks following birthdays. The likelihood of action in a family actually increased by about 30 % in the two weeks following a birthday.
