The sample Golden Ratio portfolio has 42% in stock funds divided into growth and value, 26% in long-term treasury bonds and the 16% in gold or thereabouts. The remainder, the 10% and the 6% can be varied depending on what you're trying to do. You just want to try to diversify that remaining 16% from the other three big asset classes you already have.
