Open Source Isn't a Charity Case
I don't think we should be treating everybody who's working in open source as if they're a charity case and that we need to rescue them necessarily I feel like we should be seeing them as people who have lifestyle businesses. A lot of projects are very akin to you know maybe a niche burger joint in San Francisco and then overnight there are social media sensation, feeding the entirety of San Francisco. We wouldn't say the solution to that is to throw donations at them the solution is I see open source is kind of like a business light.
