Corman's Little Shop of Horrors
After bucket of blood, corman and Griffith followed up with little shop of horrors. Corman didn't know how to direct comedy so Griffith suggested he direct all the actors to play the lines completely straight. This would become the hall mark of his subsequent chomedic work. Actors not known for being comedians would be cast in comic roles which they'd play with utmost seriousness. House of usher was budgeted at 250 thousand dollars, almost ten times what little shop cost to make. While little shop was shot in two days, usher's shute stretched three weeks.
