The average dire wolf is probably about the size of like a big arctic timber wolf. We had giant ground sloths, right? A gliptodon which was like a ginormous armadillo. And when those things went with the climate, the predators that relied on them, you know, went as well. You know, humans would have seen dire wolves. But probably didn't help that we arrive with our dogs hunting everything.
