When I was at one company that was a little younger and the advertising company, both advertising and a tech company, it was encouraged that you had other projects. So yeah, it was often seen as a positive thing. But later I did join like a consultancy doing the same type of work, but it's like a different industry. And it was client driven at that point whenever people found out that I was doing a podcast,. Like it was very much that kind of environment where the expectation was that you were trying to build a lot of client hours. It definitely frowns upon passion projects or anything else that will take up your time.
