The idea that both muskets and a r fifteens are considered guns is almost just like an etymological coincidence, right? Like they are devices with some key commonalities, but they are not meaningfully the same thing. An original mis interpretation would be that when the founders said the word arms, they were referring to arms at the time,. Anything that was invented or proliferated afterwards was natu y outside of the scope of the term as they were using it. And it's pretty focking sloppy to ignore that.
