In many organizations, it's standard practice to put the degree requirement on there for full time positions. One of the one of those extra miles sort of requirements to really create an inclusive environment is recognize and be again open and honest about your biases. The reality is many of us prefer and are drawn to same names that are recognizable to us names that make us feel comfortable. And so we find a lot of candidates get screened out just at that stage of the resume right where they have an identifiably non Anglo sex and name like mine richica tulsion and we get rejected.
