The semiconductor industry has been in the spotlight lately because of geopolitical tensions, US and China having issues. It's caused the United States to put restrictions on the type of semiconductor technology that can be exported to China. The most advanced chips were all manufactured in Asia. This is something that had not happened before in the history of semiconductors. No military advanced jet fighter in the US can fly without chips manufacturing Taiwan.
