I think losing a war gives a great incentive to look at really what works and what doesn't. The key thing that they had given themselves in the 39-40-41 was speed. If an army could do the basic things at speed, the other army would fall over badly. And when they did that we were floundering because we just weren't expecting it at all. There's nothing particularly shocking or surprising about coming out of Ukraine to my mind.
