Cremation and burial remain the most common finalist positions. Water-based systems have been around for, I don't like, since the early 2000s. A resurgence of interest in aerobic decomposition is referred to now as human composting. Cryopreserved bodies are a minority kind of approach because no one knows if it's going to work.
