Is There a New Heavy Particle?
Before we find a particle like directly explicitly at a kolider, we usually have hints from other experiments that suggest ther's a new heavy particle out there. And this is the pattern in particle physics. So if you found them, that would be a pretty big deal. But what happens if you don't find them? What could it mean? Yes, if we don't find them, it means we're barking up the wrong tree. It doesn't mean that the standard model is wrong. It just means that we don't have an answer to the big questions like, why is there more matter than anti matter? Why are there three copies of the electron? We just don't have
