The Up and Downsides of Competition
The notion that competition could spur the country's actions wasn't as much part of the framing before, but it's clearly a very central part of the way that we think about. I think China, for example, when they started to push the clean tech industries and EVs, that was very much thinking about industries where there weren't incumbents, global incumbents that they could compete in and dominate. And so these are the ways that things can be constructive and spur us to action just because we don't want to lose out to a geopolitical rival. But obviously, there are all sorts of ways that this could go south that we just need to be mindful of.
