Are You Trying to Get People to Believe a Story?

iReporter: I'm a big advocate fanof, interested in story telling. If youcan get people to believe a story, even a ridiculous one, you can, you can get them to do almost anything. The reality is that capitalism itself thrives because of the stories people tell about it. You don't no empire or social movement or civilization gets anywhere without, like, having a set of stories that the people who are inside that thing believe and thate determines reality,. To a significant amount, determines reality, right? There's a degree to which you can kind of ignore even physical reality if the stories are strong enough.
